Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination

Continuous requirements: Students are required to attend seminars on a regular basis; a maximum of three absences is permitted. Students are further expected to participate actively in class, submit homework assignments by the required deadlines, and undertake independent preparation. Students must successfully complete written vocabulary tests with a minimum score of 67%, as well as a continuous grammar test with a minimum score of 67%. Failure to meet the requirements for the written vocabulary tests will result in the assignment of substitute written work. In the event of an unsuccessful attempt at the continuous grammar test, students are entitled to two other attempts. Final written examination (67%): Students may sit the final written examination only after all continuous assessment requirements have been fulfilled. The final written examination will cover the material taught in both semesters, 7MSF1 and 7MSF2, including theoretical questions. The examination is taken on the regular examination date; two resit dates will be provided.
