Course content
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the system of population protection in the Czech Republic and the EU, its anchorage in legislative and non-legislative documents. To present the content of measures and tasks of population protection and their implementation in the environment of the Czech Republic and the EU. 1. Terminological framework and current security environment of the Czech Republic 2. Legislative anchoring of population protection and non-legislative documents in the field of population protection 3. History of population protection in the world 4. International humanitarian law 5. Warning and information of the population in the territory of the Czech Republic 6. Conduct of alerts on the territory of the Czech Republic 7. Individual and collective protection of the population 8. Permanent shelters 9. Evacuation of persons and evacuation of the population in terms of legal and technical terms 10. Object evacuation 11. Area evacuation 12. Individual emergency survival measures 13. Individual protection

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the system of population protection in the Czech Republic and the EU, its anchorage in legislative and non-legislative documents. To present the content of measures and tasks of population protection and their implementation in the environment of the Czech Republic and the EU.
Student acquires basic knowledge in the field of protection of the population of the Czech Republic. Mainly in the field of emergency management according to valid Czech and European legislation.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge in the field of human biology, chemistry and physics is a prerequisite for the study of the subject. English language skills Required. Instructions: The Subject is intended for students from the Russian Federation, from Saint Petersburg University. The Subject is taught in the English language.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Seminar work

Semester paper, exam test.
