Course content
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the general issues of emergency and crisis management and to instil in them the theoretical basis for follow-up courses in the field of emergency and crisis planning and management. Emphasis will be placed on the mastery of terminology and the correct understanding of concepts in this field. The course will also include the legislative system of the Czech Republic, clarification of the concept of the legal force of legal norms and basic legislation in this area. The aim of the course is its practical concept (use of appropriate protective equipment-biowak). The teaching also includes the use of multimedia objects focused on the types and occurrence of dangerous diseases and the handling of emergencies associated with dangerous diseases. 1. Introduction. 2. Basic concepts in the field of emergency and crisis management. 3. Risk, Sources of risk. 4. General procedure for dealing with emergencies and crisis situations. 5. General tasks of authorities and organisations in dealing with adverse events. 6. Crisis management staffing, crisis management communication, types and occurrence of dangerous diseases, dealing with emergencies related to dangerous diseases. 7. Logistics and logistical support in crisis management. 8. Public administration. 9. General legislation for dealing with emergencies and crisis situations. 10. Special legislation for dealing with emergencies and crisis situations.

Learning outcomes

The student will master basic information on problems of the solution of emergency and crisis situations, which will enable him/her to continue the further successful study in this field.
