Course content
Lectures (1 lesson): 1. Introduction to the issue, historical development of ammunition. 2. Distribution, characteristics of ammunition. 3. Firecrackers. 3. Ammunition. 4. Explosives. 5. Civilian ammunition, distribution, construction and use. 6. Misuse, search and disposal of ammunition. 7. Pyrotechnic components. 8. Military ammunition - distribution. 9. Military ammunition - construction. 10. Military ammunition - use. 11. Handling and trading in ammunition and explosives 12. The method of ammunition storage is prescribed by § 58 paragraph 2 of Act No. 119/2002 Coll. Seminars (1 lesson): 1. Storage of explosives. 2. Warehouse construction. 3. Handling and trading of ammunition and explosives. 4. Firearms license tests. 5. Safety when storing gases. 6. Handling of explosives such as research, development and testing of explosives. 7. Destruction and disposal, storage, acquisition, transfer, importation of ammunition. 8. Handling of explosives - their production and processing, use, export or transit and transportation. 9. Content of individual terms and their meaning. 10. Excursion to the shooting range. 11. Excursion - Pyrotechnic Service of the Police of the Czech Republic. 12. Excursion - Pyrotechnic Service of the Police of the Czech Republic.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the construction, use, search and misuse of explosives and ammunition. Furthermore, students will be introduced to the applicable legislation regarding the given issue.
Competence acquired: The student will be able to recognize basic types of explosives and ammunition. They will be able to evaluate the possible danger arising from the initiation of these substances.

A condition for granting credit is a seminar work; the exam will take place in the form of a written test on the content of the lectures and seminars. Student requirements: Participation in seminars, seminar paper - power-point presentation.
