Learning outcomes
The goal of self-defence, which is established by the relevant legal standards, is to improve the basic skills of students in self-defence, especially when handling improvised means of self-defence, to deepen their knowledge of basic self-defence training and behavioural tactics in risky situations. The goals of self-defence training express the unity of general and specific tasks. The aim of the subject is to familiarize students with the issue of preventing movement in risky areas, with the ability to eliminate risky situations and with preparation for a sudden threat in the form of an aggressive attacker. Prevention, response, behaviour in risky situations and self-defence in the event of an attack consists of a theoretical and a practical part.
First of all, preparing students to successfully master the basics of self-defence training and to convey information regarding the tactics of behaviour in a risky environment and the possibilities of using self-defence technical means and their use. At the same time, the focus of the training can be seen primarily in strengthening these abilities and skills. The training of the basics of self-defence carried out based on contemporary requirements for preparedness in the event of an attack by an attacker, comprehensively affects all aspects of an individual's development.
