Course content
1. Volunteer terminology and the kinds of volunteers types and their characteristics. 2. The history and current state of voluntering in the world, as well as in the Czech Republic. 3. Legislation support of volunteership and documentation of volunteership programs. 4. The strategy of working with volunteers: the acquiring and the selection of volunteers and their motivation. 5. The strategy of working with volunteer: training and supervision. 6. Volunteer programs: their purpose, goals, content and coordination. 7. Evaluation of volunteering activities and volunteering program.

Learning outcomes
The course focuses on volunteership management. The goal of the workshops is to introduce the problems of volunteership to the students. The students will learn the history as well as the development of volunteership in the CR as well as in the world, with the emphasis on the legislative support in this area. The workshop includes also practical training at acquiring volunteers, working with them (selection, motivation, supervision), volunteership program coordination.
The students will acquire a good background in volunteer management. The students will gain knowlege the legislation in the field of volunteerism The students will gain knowlege in the methods of working with volunteers and will be able to use them. The students can design the structure of the volunteer program.
