Course content
1. The late Gothic architecture - its definiton and methodology. 2. The development of the late Gothic principles in the architecture of Bavaria and Austria. 3. The Viennese dome workshop and Gothic plans. 4. The conditions for the developement of the late Gothic. architecture in South Bohemia. 5. The initiation buildings of the period. 6. The sacral architecture in district Český Krumlov. 7. The churches in Dolní Dvořiště and Prachatice. 8. The churches in Trhové Sviny, Horní Stropnice and Žumberk. 9. The person of Hans Getzinger and the premisses of his work. 10. The churches in Chvalšiny, Rožmberk and Nové Hrady. 11. Less important sarcral buildings. 12. The architecture of the forts and palaces. 13. Other buildings of the late Gothic architecture.

Learning outcomes
The lecture informs about the constitution of the late Gothic principles in Middle Europe and their influence on the contemporary sacral architecture in South Bohemia. There will be the monuments from the district Český Krumlov mentioned and their architect Hans Getzinger
The students will be informed about the development of the late Gothic architecture in Central Europe and on the model of South Bohemia they can follow the principles of its priorities, types and changes.
Prerequisites
The students should have an basic knowledge about the medieval architekture.

Assessment methods and criteria
Interview

The student must show the knowledge of the basic principles of the late Gothic architecture and some of the monuments in South Bohemia.
