Course content
Students come familiar with different topics from applied hydrobiology. Partocular issues will be aimed to: human affect to freshwater ecosystems; water pollution; acidification, eutrophication; particular pollutants in freshwater; wastewater management.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Demonstration, Excursion
  • Preparation for exam - 40 hours per semester
  • Preparation for classes - 40 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 30 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 20 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of this subject is to present basic information about application of hydrtobiology knowledge in other activities connected with fishery management, waste water cleaning etc.
Students have to be able apply the knowledge in solving closely connected topics from cleaning of waste water, ecosystem revitalization and biological assessment of fresh waters.
Prerequisites
At least basics from biology of aquatic environment and its inhabitants.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Test

Active attitude during presentations and practical lectures.
