Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to give students basic knowledge about general and structural biochemistry. Students will learn about the principal components of living organisms and their role in the biological processes at the molecular level. The practical training will be focused on nomenclature, structure of molecules and calculation in enzymology.
The graduate students will get basic knowledge about the structure and function of the principal components of living organisms and their transformations at the molecular level.
Prerequisites
Students should pass the subjects Chemistry 1 and 2.
Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Test
Conditions for obtaining credit: 80% attendance of training lessons. Students have to pass 4 credit tests (obtaining more than 50 % points in all tests). Conditions for oral examination: The examination will be only oral.
