Course content
1) Introduction to the subject, clinical and pathological-anatomical examination of fish and crayfish 2) Overview of parasitic agents of fish diseases, parasitological examination 3) Overview of bacterial and fungal fish diseases, microbiological examination 4) Overview of viral diseases of fish, virological examination 5) Histopathological examination of fish 6) Haematological examination of fish 7) Biochemical examination of fish 8) Investigation of emergency fish mortality and basic hydrochemical analysis

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with a basic overview of fish diseases and the possibilities of their diagnosis.
Basic medical knowledge, orientation in individual groups of pathogens, knowledge of basic laboratory techniques and skills.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of fish anatomy and physiology, basic knowledge of molecular biology.
