Course content
Lectures: 1. The position of pathology in health care. The disease and its causes. 2. Regressive changes. Blood and lymph circulation disorders. 3. Inflammation. Progressive changes. 4. Diseases caused by physical and chemical influences. 5. Eating disorders. 6. Microbial and parasitic causes of diseases. Immune disorders. 7. Pathology of the cardiovascular system. 8. Pathology of the respiratory system. 9. Pathology of the gastrointestinal tract - GIT. Pathology of the liver, bile ducts and pancreas. 10. Pathology of the urinary tract. Reproductive system pathology. 11. Pathology of pregnancy. Pathology of the mammary gland. 12. Pathology of the nervous system. 13. Pathology of the musculoskeletal system. 14. Pathology of endocrine glands. 15. Skin pathology. Pathology of the sensory system. Seminars: 1. Regressive and metabolic changes in tissues and organs. Specific and non-specific inflammation; its manifestations in individual organs. 2. Specificity of oncological diseases for different tissues and organs. Biopsy and its current importance in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cancer. 3. Pathology of diseases of the digestive tract, diagnostic benefits of biopsy examinations in this area. The most common diseases of the urinary and genital tract, including demonstration of biopsy images. 4. Inflammatory and non-inflammatory diseases of the CNS, the current status of degenerative and demyelinating diseases of the CNS. 5. Inflammatory, tumorous and tumoriform lesions of the musculoskeletal system. Skin diseases and their relationship to internal organs. Multiorgan failure in shock.
