Key learning outcomes
|
1) To acquire fundamentals of the theory and experience in the education by study of essentials pedagogy and pedagogical psychology 2) To obtain knowledge and skills in biological background of natural history in the adequate range for the following master studies Teacher of Natural History or similarly oriented studies (i. e. essentials of geology, cell and molecular biology, diversity, ecology, physiology of organisms, human biology) 3) To create elementary instrumental skills for terrain or laboratory work with respect to theoretical basis of the studies 4) To manage (autonomously and/or under supervision) solving of the scientific problem/project in the logical order (recherché, simple research/monitoring of the biological, geological or educational events - their analyses, evaluation, interpretation, discussion and generalization) and to write the bachelor thesis. 5) To provide a possibility of self-reflection for choice of the next educational way

|
Graduates are prepared for the continuing Master study programme Teacher Training in Natural Science for Higher Primary School (the Bachelor study programme Introductory Teacher Training course in Natural History is a preparatory course). The preparation includes mainly foundation knowledge in pedagogy, educational psychology, biology of eukaryotic multicellular organisms and human biology, ecology and geology. Based on the choice of the elective part of the individual study path, the graduate may be prepared for continuing Master study programmes of different specialization (earth science, pedagogy or environmental science). The foundations in pedagogy, psychology, biology and geology allow for the graduate´s employment as a teacher´s assistant, in the area of leisure time pedagogy, in organisations focussing on environmental education, or in some areas of the civil service (e.g. assistant at the Department of Environment).
