Key learning outcomes The bachelor's study branch Agroecology combines the factors of classical agricultural management with an emphasis on its sustainability. This is a practically oriented bachelor's degree program, where the student learns the robust basics of agriculture with an overlap into the issues of organic farming and agricultural landscape management. It is possible to complete a study in the Agroecology branch with a bachelor's degree and pursue a career in agricultural enterprises and related fields or to continue your studies at the master's level. During the three years of the standard period of study, students complete both general subjects in relation to the biological base of agriculture and practically agriculturally oriented subjects. Complementary to the extension of their qualifications are subjects focused on the management of the agricultural landscape or organic agriculture. Of course, it is possible to study the semester abroad at partner universities. The study program is guaranteed by the Department of Agroecosystems of the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples Graduates will be prepared for the labor market, who will work as experts or self-employed in the field of agriculture and services in agriculture and landscape management with a special focus on areas and processes with ecologically limited farming. They will also work as experts for the use and protection of natural resources in the agricultural landscape at the corporate and institutional level within the government. The study plan is designed to suit both students who expect to enter the labor market after completing a bachelor's degree, as well as students considering a follow-up master's degree program in Agroecology or related agricultural programmes.
