Key learning outcomes The two-year follow-up field of study Agricultural and Transport Technology of the study program Agricultural Engineering is primarily intended for graduates of the bachelor's study field of Agricultural Technology: trade, service and services accredited at ZF JU. However, graduates of similar fields from other universities can also enroll. The study field's composition aims to expand and deepen the knowledge acquired during the bachelor's study in the fields of technology and technology of plant and animal production, transport and handling technology, electronics, automation and control using electronic systems used in agriculture and transportation. Regarding the graduate profile, subjects from the field of computer-aided design (so-called CAD systems) and computer modeling are also included in the field of study. Completing them will allow graduates to gain a good foundation for subsequent work in positions such as the designer of agricultural and transport technology. Experts in the field guarantee study subjects. With regard to the practical application of graduates, emphasis is placed on the involvement of external experts in the teaching process, in the form of so-called lectures given in the form of so-called cathedral seminars and the form of student practice in companies. Emphasis is also placed on the quality elaboration of a diploma thesis, in which the student should demonstrate independence and the ability to understand the chosen issue deeply.

Qualification requirements and regulations Successful completion of the bachelor's study program of appropriate specialization and successful completion of the admission procedure. The advantage for studying the master´s field is a higher level of knowledge of technical disciplines.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples The graduate will find employment in the academic sphere, state administration institutions, companies dealing with applied research, experimental development and innovation, in the field of primary production, in the field of agricultural consulting and similar specialized services, professional and interest organizations with activities in agricultural technology, etc. The graduate can hold a job as a specialist in the field of best available techniques in agriculture, development worker in a company engaged in agricultural machinery, agricultural machinery tester, a technologist in the field of agricultural machinery production, university assistant, agricultural consultant, provider specialized services, the trader in agricultural machinery and the like. In cooperation with specialists in other areas, the graduate is able to design an alternative work procedure and verify this in operating conditions.
