Key learning outcomes The bachelor's study program Agricultural Biotechnology is focused on biotechnological methods and procedures used in agriculture. Attention is paid to basic theoretical subjects, agricultural and biotechnologically oriented subjects. Attention is also paid to methods of statistical data evaluation and language preparation. An integral part of the study is the practice in molecular and biotechnology laboratories. Emphasis is placed not only on theoretical preparation, but also on practical mastery of laboratory techniques and independent work of students. Graduates will apply their knowledge and practical experience in the analysis of genes and genomes of animals and plants, diagnosis of diseases in specialized workplaces, the use of molecular techniques and tissue cultures in plant breeding, phytosanitary.

Qualification requirements and regulations Successful graduation from high school with a general certificate of education. The advantage for studying the field of Agricultural Biotechnology is a higher level of knowledge of biology, genetics and chemistry.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples Graduates are able to apply the acquired knowledge in the field of plant and animal biotechnology, especially in the field of laboratory techniques and processes. The graduate has suitable practical laboratory skills, is able to manage instrumentation and manages the procedures used in molecular and microbiological laboratories and biotechnological business. The graduate is also equipped in terms of language skills, masters statistical methods and is familiar with information sources.
