Course content
|
Acquisition of information retrieval in science from primary and secondary sources using modern methods of communication, their processing and sorting. Primary and secondary information sources. Internet search, online library catalogs. Databases, CD-ROM servers, keywords, thesaurus, communication between scientists. Evaluation and classification of information in science: citation standard ISO 690, IF, SCI, The Web of Science, personal bibliographic database, processing of graphic materials (scanner, digital photography). Presentation of information in science: written, principles of creating a professional text, rules of citation of information sources, structure of a scientific publication, elaboration of a dissertation.
