1. Social exclusion (introduction, sociological grasp of the issue and social work point of view, the concept of transcultural attitude). 2. Situation of the socially excluded (most frequently excluded groups and their situation, ways of assisting them; social work and social pathology block). 3. Skills of social worker. 4. Terrain work. 5. Excursion and invited experts in the field. 6. Social exclusion and ethics and psychology, being uprooted. 7. Political and ethical dimension of exclusion. 8. Social exclusion and theology. 9. Social exclusion from the sociological point of view, social exclusion and its changing forms. 10. Transition rites in work with youth as prevention of exclusion and psychopathological phenomena. 11. Presentation and facilitation skills.

The course analyses the contemporary state of the society, its majority part and groups excluded from it and takes note of mutual interactions and their impacts. On completing the course the student will be able to complexly grasp the issue of social exclusion and the excluded in several dimensions. The classwork includes active work with students attitudes to members of excluded groups and groups threatened by exclusion.
As part of the course the students will master or enhance the following expert knowledge, skills and competences: - knowing and understanding basic concepts associated with social exclusion and social work with persons endangered by exclusion, or already excluded, - the student will be able to discern and reflect her fundamental cultural attitudes and their consequences for social work with socially excluded client, - will further be able to appropriately apply social work approaches with this target group.
The student ought to have completed courses of theories and methods of social work.

- In case of students absence at the introductory lesson finding out the current requirements and conditions of study, which are always further specified at the first lesson, from colleagues, - participation in excursions and reflecting them, - reading and reflection of professional texts, - self-study reflected in an essay, - reflection of practical seminars.
