Learning outcomes
|
The course deals with religionistic texts in German from European Islam. Students get acquainted with texts about social problems, immigration, work, unemployment, family, women, criminality, work with young people, charity, mosques, hospital, death or prison.
Student can translate and explicate scientific texts.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Systematic student observation
translation of texts from reading book, essay. Requirements on students: three translations of articles from German to Czech (choose out three of ten articles, which are on the website of the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, Faculty of theology, send the translation to the teacher). According to the chosen article write a seminar paper and compare the German and Czech reality. Requirements for the seminar paper, at least 5 pages in Czech. Quotes and paraphrases in footnotes in accordance with the manual by Tomas Veber, Peter Bauman: Methodological tool to process theses (version 1.0, 2010) so as formal standard of the text. Announce the topic of a seminar paper to the teacher (e.g. unemployment, violence, criminality, education, extremism, racism, discrimination etc.)
