Course content
Content of lectures: - Basic methods to study cells - Chemical composition of cells, bioenergetics - Nucleic acids - RNA and proteins - Membrane structure and transport - Cytoskeleton, motor proteins - Intracellular compartments and protein targeting - Cell division - Cell division control - Cellular communication and signalling cascades - Multicellularity and cell differentiation

This course aims to broaden knowledge of cellular functions as covered by textbook Molecular biology of the Cell by Bruce Alberts et al.

Basic understanding of biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, and genetics.
