Course content
1.-3. Selected classical methods: illustrative-demonstrative methods. Selected classical methods: working with pictures (illustrations). 4.-6. Selected classical methods: word methods. Selected classical methods: narration (storytelling). 7.-9. Selected classical methods: explanation, interpretation and dialogue. 10.-11. Selected classical methods: working with texts. Nontraditional work with a literary text (e.g. literary travels, regional writers, literary competition). 12.-13. Selected literary genres and their use in leisure time education (eg fairy tale, story prose from children's life, detective story, adventure story, popular science works - encyclopedia, reputation, comics, poetry for children and youth, works on religious topics).

Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Activating (simulations, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
The course is a follow-up to the subject The Bases of Literary Education. Its aim is to deepen student´s knowledge and skills in the field of literary education related to the spheres of knowledge, skills and values. The contents of the course is focused on traditional and less conventional systematic procedures which seem to be appropriate to the educational use. Literary education deals with working with texts during extracurricular educational process. The texts have been selected from the artistic literature suitable for modern children and youth. They are concentrated on the problems of interpersonal relationships, multicultural and prosocial education.
The student is knowledgable in literary education.

The course is a follow-up to the subject The Bases of Literary Education.

Student performance assessment

Active participation in seminars, continuous working out given tasks.
