Project management as a specific area of management. History of the European Union regional policy. Conception of projects and project management in selected areas. Project activities and their funding sources. Project phases: definition, planning, implementation and evaluation. Logical framework of the project. Planning of key activities and sources. Project budget. Project risks and risk prevention measures. Human resource management and communication: manager's personality, team, process of worker selection. Monitoring and reporting. Publicity, dissemination: outcomes and outputs. Software for the project management support. Lecture by a representative of the practice - a discussion of practical problems.
