Obsah předmětu
1. History of Global health care. The concept of Global public health, Early epidemiology, The birth of social medicine "WHO" came into being, the Declaration of Alma Ata and Millennium Health Goals. Sustainable development and global health. 2. Nurses' Role in Advancing Global health. Approaches to developing professional nurses, Nursing in pro-social action and human right advocacy Nursing in socio-cultural perspective/ challenges 3. Challenges to Global healthcare delivery.Interprofessional collaboration in global health care, Human rights and social justice (social inequity) Economic pressures and welfare systém, Urbanization and a skillful workforce 4. Ethics and Values in Global health care, Difference between, health ethics, health law and social ethical values and human rights. Refugee and migrant health care rights, Ethics of public health emergencies, Challenges to ethical practice in global health care.

  • Domácí příprava na výuku - 30 hodin za semestr

1. Analyze healthcare practice from individual to population/organizational levels using research skills, evidence, ethical principles, multiple patterns of knowing, and critical and creative thinking. 2. Analyze health trends and issues in global contexts and role of WHO. 3. Sustainable development goals and critical thinking on the role of nurses with socio cultural differences. 4. Apply knowledge of inter-professional practice in global health contexts. 5. Analyze, organize, and reconstruct information to effectively communicate about global health and inform global health practice. 6. Propose how to advocate with others for public policy that will address health and social justice locally, nationally, and internationally as a challenge to global health concern. 7. Propose policy changes due to urbanization which related to systems that influence the health of populations. 8. Reflect on competent and ethical practice for nurses and health care providers in global contexts.
