Course Objective: The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the mechanism for identifying critical infrastructure elements at both national and supranational levels. It will also provide an understanding of the legislative framework for critical infrastructure protection and the mechanisms for ensuring its security, with a focus on both physical and cyber security at national and supranational levels. Acquired Competencies: Students will be able to conduct analyses and assess the security of critical infrastructure elements. They will also be capable of implementing both theoretical and practical measures for protecting critical infrastructure elements, considering their national and supranational significance. 1. Introduction to Critical Infrastructure Issues 2. Critical Infrastructure Legislation in the Czech Republic and the EU 3. Description of Critical Infrastructure and European Critical Infrastructure 4. Responsibilities of State Authorities in Critical Infrastructure Protection 5. Responsibilities of Legal Entities and Business Entities in Critical Infrastructure Protection 6. Crisis Preparedness Plans for Critical Infrastructure Entities 7. Physical Protection of Critical Infrastructure Elements 8. Cyber Protection of Critical Infrastructure Elements 9. Critical Infrastructure Protection at the Supranational Level 10. Soft Targets As part of self-study, students will gather information on critical infrastructure protection in their respective countries and identify critical infrastructure sectors.

The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the mechanism for identifying critical infrastructure elements at both national and supranational levels. It will also provide an understanding of the legislative framework for critical infrastructure protection and the mechanisms for ensuring its security, with a focus on both physical and cyber security at national and supranational levels.
The Student will know the methods of crisis management solutions, including their causes of development. The Student will be able to analyse the risks associated with the emergence of crisis situations, take and organise preventive measures, secure the storage of tasks by implementing the components and coordinate the activities of all components to meet the stated objectives. The Student will know the funeness of critical infrastructure. It will be able to effectively propose measures aimed at protecting critical infrastructure.
