Obsah předmětu

The aim of the course is to familiarize students with evidence base practice as a key competence in the application of evidence-based methods/techniques/interventions/approaches aimed at different target groups. A further aim is to learn the techniques of evidence base work in social work so that they are applicable in practice and with regard to the risks of applicability in different settings and at different levels. Lecture topics 1. Evidence base in practice - theory and practice. 2. Selected theoretical foundations of social work and their transfer to the practice of the selected profession. 3. Searching for information in various sources with regard to selected topics in social work. 4. Data classification - according to the study typology. Systematic reviews/meta-analyses, randomized controlled trials, quasi-experimental studies, case-control and cohort studies. 5. Data classification by typology. pre-experimental group studies, surveys, qualitative studies. 6. Data interpretation and translation into practice. Risks of applicability of evidence-based results to the practice of the selected profession. 7. Evidence base practice and its transfer to the macro level within the practice of the selected profession. The social ecological model and its relationship to evidence base practice. 8. 8. Evidence base practice with a selected target group according to the students' focus.

Hodnoticí metody a kritéria

Ústní zkouška, Seminární práce
Seminar paper in literature analysis, aiming to find the best evidence-based practice of the selected social/health/social situation/case study, presentation of the output in the last class (it is possible to choose the type of review and create a shortened version of it due to time constraints). Formal requirements: Times New Roman, line 1. Compliance with APA style citation standards. There is no set length - it depends on the topic.
