Key learning outcomes | Bachelor study of archaeology is designed as a comprehensive overview of Central European archaeology and archaeology of the Czech lands with a special focus on the South Bohemian region. Emphasis is placed on knowledge and classification of basic archaeological sources (especially artefacts of individual epochs), as well as mastering the basic methodology of the field work (especially in courses Introduction to Archaeology, Introduction to Field Archaeology, Environmental Archaeology, Laboratory Exercises, Archaeological Practice), as well as basics of other disciplines, especially bioarchaeology and history. The aim of the bachelor study of archaeology is to prepare specialists focusing on archaeological monument care who will use their knowledge in the fields of science and research (assistant researcher, field technician, documentation worker), state administration and self-government (preparation of archaeological materials for monument care) ) and museums (sorting, documentation and records of archaeological collections). Another aim of the study is to prepare graduates for the follow-up master's study of archaeology. | ||||
