The graduate possesses a comprehensive knowledge of the issues related to different types of disabilities and the resulting special needs, has basic knowledge of special education diagnostics, and can choose an educational approach that responds to the special educational needs of a student. The graduate is capable of methodically guiding other professionals (e.g., teachers, educators, teaching assistants) involved in the education of individuals with special needs. The graduate is qualified to implement supportive measures and to provide methodological guidance to other educational staff in their implementation.
