Key learning outcomes Studies in this bachelor's program form a whole with the follow-up master's program in Teaching for the 2nd Level of Primary School, and both programs are jointly designed as a comprehensive structured study (Bc. + Mgr.), the successful completion of which leads to obtaining qualification as a teacher for the 2nd level of primary school according to Act No. 563/2004 Coll. Both programs (Bc. + Mgr.) are therefore submitted for accreditation simultaneously. The structure of the programs is based on the Framework Requirements for study programs, the completion of which grants professional qualification for the performance of regulated occupations of teaching staff (Ref. MSMT-21271/2017-5a). The main goal of studying at the level of a bachelor's degree program is to prepare graduates to become experts in education within the chosen specializations corresponding to the future teaching subjects of a secondary-level primary school teacher. The inclusion of subject didactics (methodology), pedagogical-psychological disciplines, and assistant practice already in the bachelor's studies ensures that graduates will be able to reflect on the knowledge gained from studying subject areas in relation to their practical application in pedagogical practice, e.g., in educational work or in the role of a teaching assistant at a primary school (Note: according to the Pedagogical Workers Act 563/2004 Coll., graduates of the bachelor's part of teacher training may hold positions as a teaching assistant or educator). At the bachelor's level, the target outcome is for the student to achieve the ability to assist a teacher in working with pupils. It is also important to motivate students to continue to follow-up master's studies so that they can use their knowledge gained from the master's program in teaching their subject areas at elementary school.
