Aim is to explain malfunctions in basic functions of human organism with accent on their relationship to laboratory diagnostic methods.
Student understands the difference between physiologiacal and pathological state of organism and individual organ systems. |
| Prerequisites |
|
Student has basic knowledge in biochemistry - what is glycogen, glycolysis, polysaccharides. Student is able to describe enzymes that cleavage polysaccharides, properties of amino acids, pH system, acid-base balance, buffer system etc. Student understand the basic properties of human body - levels of blood pressure, location of liver (spleen) in the human body, what the diaphragm separates, the glands of internal secretion, the chambers of the heart, menstrual cycle regulation, the functions of insulin, where is bile produced, etc.

Oral examination
Passing oral exam. Student picks three questions and is evaluated independently from each. Final grade is an average of the three questions. |
