Course content
|
Physiological principles of regulation of reproduction, lactation, egg production and growth. Metabolic response to production, nutritional and environmental burdens in individual livestock species. Metabolic application of vitamins and minerals. Neuroendocrine system in adaptation control, higher nervous activity of livestock, function of sensory organs. Physiological aspects in ensuring animal welfare, environmental impact on animal welfare. Functional peculiarities of organ systems during the prenatal and postnatal development of livestock.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to deepen knowledge of the functional capacity of organ systems relevant for the reproduction, production and adaptation of livestock.
The student will gain knowledges of functions and their regulation with empasis on the production, reproduction and adaptation of farm animals.

General knowledges of biology, morphology and biochemistry.

The student prepares the assigned seminar work, which is continuously consulted.
