Course content |
Study of each group of traits in animals and plants. Basics of consequenial genetic disciplines - biochemical genetics, immunogenetics, genetics of reproduction, population genetics of qualitative and quantitative traits, genetic principles of breeding and hybridization of animals and plants, genetics of health and resistance. The theme of the genetic diversity and saving of gene resources. Molecular and chemical principles, cytogenetics, Mendelian genetics and its modification, the analysis of genetic variability.

Learning outcomes |
The aim of this subject is to give students the basics of general genetics - Mendelian genetics, gene coupling, gene interaction, cytogenetics, molekular genetics, polymorphism, mutation and principles of population genetics.
Knowledge of molecular, cell, Mendelian genetics. Basis of population genetics. Fundamentals for the study of consequent genetic disciplines. |
