Key learning outcomes The aim of the doctoral field of study is to expand the knowledge of the theoretical basis of the field of science, to master the methods and procedures of applying knowledge to practice and to be prepared to creatively develop the scientific basis of zootechnical disciplines. The graduate will be able to work independently with scientific and professional literature, will learn various forms of presentation of the results of scientific and research work and their professional knowledge. He / she will acquire language knowledge in the field of professional terminology in English and will master the creative use of modern information technologies, database systems, etc. From the time of admission to study, the student of the doctoral study field General Zootechnics is profiled according to the topic of the dissertation thesis and to professional interest in one of the basic study specializations: - Genetic disciplines - molecular biological methods and their applications. - Problematics of livestock breeding and population genetics. - Area of animal physiology and related disciplines. - Livestock nutrition and feeding and related issues. - Technological systems in relation to health status, welfare and biosecurity.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples By choosing optional and elective courses, attending specialized seminars, participating in domestic and foreign study stays, the doctoral student will gain structured knowledge. The participation in the teaching of professional disciplines, cooperation in solving diploma theses, presentations at seminars, conferences and other educational events also contribute to develop the student's personality. The graduate will be prepared to develop the relevant scientific field on the basis of basic and applied research and to manage creatively the work of companies dealing with production programs and services in connection with the field of doctoral studies. They can also be used in organs of the state management.
