Key learning outcomes The need for a university-educated paramedic profession is currently high and the demands on the quality of erudite personnel in this profession are increasing. According to Act No. 374/2011 Coll. on the Medical Rescue Service, there are two types of call-out groups, an ambulance crew without a doctor and an ambulance crew with a doctor. The massive development in the field of the organisation of pre-hospital emergency care in recent years has clearly led to a steady increase in the importance of ambulance crews without a doctor. The requirements for higher qualifications of paramedics increase their usefulness in both teams of the above-mentioned medical crews, which significantly contributes to the quality of care provided. Graduates are able to provide specific nursing care in emergency care, acute admission and wherever the sick and injured are in immediate danger of death. Graduates will be licensed to practice the health care profession without professional supervision.
