| Key learning outcomes | Study in this study program is designed as a comprehensive five-year program, the successful completion of which leads to obtaining the qualification of a lower secondary school teacher according to Act No. 563/2004 Coll. The structure of the program is based on the Framework Requirements for study programs, the completion of which grants professional qualifications for performing regulated teaching professions (Ref. No. MSMT-4626/2024-2). The main goal of the study program is to prepare graduates to become experts in education within the chosen specializations corresponding to the future teaching subjects of a lower secondary school teacher. The inclusion of subject didactics (methodics), pedagogical-psychological disciplines, and assistant practice already in the first three years of study, as well as preparation for work in the clinical semester, ensures that graduates will be able to reflect on knowledge gained from studying the taught subjects (approbations) and their subject didactics in relation to their practical use in pedagogical practice before entering the clinical semesters of reflective practice. The Faculty of Education at JU has defined its vision for the preparation of future teachers and called it Teacher Pro Futuro (see presentation on the Faculty of Education JU website). |
