Learning outcomes |
The course is focused on the introduction of the structure and properties of biopolymers and the basic principles of biochemistry of living organisms. The course introduces the basic catabolic and anabolic processes in living matter. Attention is also paid to the biochemistry of nutrition.
Based on the acquired knowledge of biochemistry, the graduate will gain the competence to use their knowledge in other chemical and scientific disciplines. |
Prerequisites |
Knowledge base of completed chemical and biological subjects.
KCH/OCHVZ ----- or ----- KCH/QOCHV ----- or ----- KCH/QZCHP ----- or ----- KCH/ZCHPP |
Assessment methods and criteria |
Combined exam
Mastering the knowledge base of selected chapters in biochemistry about the necessary input knowledge in the field of general, inorganic, and organic chemistry, which are necessary for understanding biochemistry. Students will be acquainted with all the requirements that are mandatory for passing the course at the beginning of the semester. |
